April Johnson

April Johnson has extensive experience in animal training and veterinary care, currently serving as the Director of K9 Training at K9s For Warriors since September 2017, after progressing through various roles including Assistant Manager, Lead K9 Trainer, and Trainer. Previous positions include Veterinary Technician at Coastal Veterinary Hospital and Guilford-Jamestown Veterinary Hospital, as well as roles at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, White Oak Wildlife Conservation, and Harnas Wildlife Foundation in Namibia. April holds a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Sciences from Purdue University, with a focus on Behavior and Well-being, complemented by various animal care and research roles throughout the career.
