Carter Shanks

QA Certification Team Lead at Kabam

Carter Shanks has extensive work experience in the field of Quality Assurance (QA) and gaming. Carter started their career at IdeaWall Studios as a Level Designer, where they worked on the creation of "Shadows" as part of a group project. Carter then joined Digital Media Academy as a Teachers Assistant for a brief period.

In 2011, Carter joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a QA Assistant Test Coordinator (ATC), working primarily on FIFA soccer games. Carter held various roles within EA, including Embedded QA Support for FIFA 13 and 14, QA Support for FIFA 12 and 12 EURO, and an Embedded QA Assistant Test Coordinator for FIFA 15. During their time at EA, they played a lead role in coordinating and executing testing efforts, collaborating closely with software engineers and producers to improve game features.

After leaving EA, Carter joined The Coalition, a Microsoft gaming studio, as a QA Tester. Carter worked on testing activities for approximately one year before joining Kabam in 2016. At Kabam, they began as a Quality Assurance Analyst and later progressed to the position of Senior Quality Analyst. Currently, they hold the role of QA Certification Team Lead, responsible for leading the QA certification process.

Throughout their career, Carter Shanks has showcased their expertise in ensuring quality and enhancing gaming experiences through their QA roles.

Carter Shanks attended the Art Institute of Vancouver from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Game Art & Design. Carter'sdegree was also in Game Art & Design.
