Kai Ming Head Start
Douglas Gil is currently working as the Family and Community Partnership Manager and Family Advocate at Kai Ming Head Start since December 2019. Prior to this, Douglas held positions as a Family Support Specialist and Administrative Assistant at Aspiranet from September 2016 to December 2019. Douglas also worked as a Social Media Marketing Intern at CRAYON COLLECTION from October 2015 to April 2016. Douglas is pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at San Jose State University, after completing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from UCLA in 2016.
Kai Ming Head Start
Kai Ming provides free preschool services to children ages three months to five years old from eligible families living in San Francisco. Upon enrollment in our program, your family will have access to comprehensive services at no cost to you. We offer two program options across eight (8) different locations: (1) full-day full-year or (2) full-day part-year. The comprehensive services package includes: - A high quality multicultural infant, toddler and preschool program - Healthy nutritious meals for children at school - Child health screenings and referral services - Parental education - Family support services - Services to children with special needs through an Individualized Education Program (IEP) which is provided through San Francisco Unified School District. We receive funding from Head Start, California Depart of Education and San Francisco Office of Early Care Education to support the development of young children and their families.
