Nanne Aben

Nanne Aben is a Machine Learning Engineer at kaiko.ai since April 2022, previously serving as a Senior Data Scientist at ING from February 2019 to March 2022, where leadership in data science initiatives within an interdisciplinary product development team was a key focus. Nanne's responsibilities included translating user needs into data models, designing lean experiments, deploying models into production, and mentoring junior data scientists. Notable achievements encompass the development of a data-driven product, Holmes, for the Wholesale Banking Front Office. Prior experience includes a PhD in Computational Cancer Biology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, where machine learning was applied to identify cancer drug response biomarkers through collaborations with the Sanger Institute, and a Research Assistant role at VUmc supporting Next Generation Sequencing projects. Nanne holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology.
