Virgile Foussereau

Virgile Foussereau is a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with experience in various cutting-edge technological domains. Currently employed at Hayden AI since June 2024, Virgile specializes in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Prior to this role, Virgile contributed to AI Racing Tech from September 2023 to May 2024, developing algorithms for localization in GPS-denied environments as part of the Indy Autonomous Challenge. A visiting researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from March to August 2023, Virgile focused on Computer Vision for Robotics, achieving advancements in 6-DOF pose estimation. Earlier, Virgile worked as a Software Engineer at Einride, contributing to the embedded software of an autonomous truck, and served as a cadet officer with Gendarmerie Nationale, gaining leadership and operational experience. Virgile holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Engineer’s degree in Computer Science from École Polytechnique.
