Grainne Burns

Grainne Burns serves as the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at Kainos, a position held since 2001, where management of a busy in-house legal team encompasses responsibilities including contract negotiation, IP protection, commercial risk mitigation, corporate governance, compliance, and corporate restructuring. Under Grainne Burns' leadership, the Kainos legal team was awarded the Law Society NI "In-House Legal Team of the Year." Prior to this, Grainne Burns worked as a solicitor at Campbell Fitzpatrick, focusing on litigation, and at Bakewells, specializing in clinical negligence and personal injury litigation as well as commercial litigation. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Law and Computers (LLM) and a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from Queen's University Belfast, along with completion of the LPC at the College of Law Chester.
