Amar Kumar

Amar Kumar has been working to improve education for students around the world for over 15 years. In addition to having been a teacher, a school principal, and a consultant in McKinsey’s Education practice, Amar was the Chief Product Officer for Pearson Online & Blended Learning for seven years. In that role, Amar designed and built the technology and curriculum that served more than 400,000 students in Connections Academy schools and school districts around the country.

As the pandemic exposed American families to the quality of their children’s education, Amar transitioned into an education entrepreneur, creating a new learning environment (KaiPod Learning) to support families that are seeking individualized and flexible learning options through online learning and homeschooling.

KaiPod Learning strives to supercharge learning for each student with a personalized experience that cultivates confident, resilient, and curious learners. Amar’s vision for KaiPod is to be a new education pathway that provides a more personal education than traditional public schools, a more social experience than online schools, all at a fraction of the cost of private schools.

In many ways, Amar is building KaiPod Learning for his daughter: so she can have a modern education, where she is supported and challenged, where she meets her best friend, and where she builds the skills she will need to succeed in life.
