Katie O'Rourke has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Katie is currently employed as a Senior Operations Coordinator at Kairos Aerospace, where they specialize in providing customers with actionable information about methane emissions. Prior to their role at Kairos Aerospace, Katie owned and designed their own cookie business called O'Rourkies Cookies, which focused on creating custom-designed and hand-decorated cookies for various occasions.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Katie worked at Palantir Technologies for a significant period. Katie held multiple roles at Palantir, including Event Producer & Program Manager, University Recruiting Events Lead, and Intern Program Manager, Recruiter, and Recruiting Coordinator. As an Event Producer, Katie was responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events for the company, spanning from team offsites and internal conferences to recruiting events and office-wide social events. In their role as University Recruiting Events Lead, they strategized and managed recruiting events across 30+ US and international target schools, overseeing an impressive number of 175 events annually. Additionally, they managed the intern program and served as the point of contact for interns throughout their internship. Katie also played a vital role in sourcing and screening candidates for various roles within the company.

Katie's earlier experiences include working as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Art Institute of California - San Francisco and as the Associate Director of the Redlands Fund at the University of Redlands. Katie O'Rourke attended the University of Redlands from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders. In 2002, they also briefly attended Macquarie University, where they studied Australian Art.
