Hardware Engineer at Kairos Aerospace

Matt Cocca has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Matt began their career at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where they worked as a General Engineering TA and later as a MakerSpace TA. In these roles, they provided support and guidance to students in their engineering projects.

After their time at NYU, Matt joined NYU Hyperloop as an Electrical Engineering Team Lead. In this role, they led a team and contributed to the development of electrical systems for the Hyperloop project.

Matt's most recent position was as a Flight Engineer at Kairos Aerospace. Here, they operated a custom aerial imaging instrument, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring accurate data collection. Matt provided valuable feedback to improve the instrument's reliability and functionality. Additionally, they later took on the role of Hardware Engineer at the same company, where they developed enhancements for hardware and software systems. Matt also led a test program to verify changes before production deployment.

Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated their expertise in engineering, problem-solving, and leadership, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Matt Cocca has a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017. Before that, they attended East Chapel Hill High School from 2012 to 2013, and The American School in Japan from 2010 to 2012. Prior to their time in Japan, they attended East Chapel Hill High School from 2009 to 2010.
