Haihua Zhao

Haihua Zhao is an experienced expert in the field of nuclear engineering, currently serving as Thermal Methods Lead and Distinguished Engineer at Kairos Power since September 2017. Previously, a tenure at Idaho National Laboratory from September 2006 to September 2017 included the position of Staff Scientist at various levels. Before that, Haihua Zhao worked as an Associate Specialist in the Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of California, Berkeley for a year. The early career began as an Engineer at Tsinghua University’s Institute of Nuclear Energy Technology from March 1996 to June 1999. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1999-2003), a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Tsinghua University (1993-1996), and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nuclear Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University (1989-1993).
