Iulian Gheorghe

Iulian Gheorghe currently serves as the VP of Advanced Engineering & Innovation at Kaiser Aluminum since February 2024. Prior to this role, Iulian held various leadership positions at Novelis, including Director of Research & Development for Americas, as well as Director of Research and Development for Asia and China, overseeing key projects in automotive and aerospace sectors. Iulian's experience also includes directing the Innovation Center for Asia Pacific at Aleris and serving in multiple capacities at Universal Alloy Corporation, including Vice President of Special Projects and General Manager. Iulian's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from Clemson University and degrees from Politehnica University of Bucharest, where contributions to materials science were established as a lecturer.
