Andy Chien is a highly experienced physician and academic with a diverse background in dermatology and internal medicine. Currently serving as a volunteer dermatologist at MAVEN Project, Andy conducts consultations through teledermatology. As an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington School of Nursing and affiliate faculty at the University of Washington Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Andy contributes to educational and research initiatives. Andy holds long-term positions with Washington Permanente Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute as a physician and affiliate investigator, respectively. Prior academic appointments include clinical associate professor and assistant professor at the University of Washington - School of Medicine. Andy obtained a residency in internal medicine and dermatology from the University of Washington - School of Medicine, and holds an MD and PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, along with a BA in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
