Gordon Tang

Gordon Tang is a highly experienced medical professional specializing in neurosurgery. Currently serving as the Chief of the Neurosurgery Section at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center since August 2005, Gordon Tang also holds a position in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Kaiser Permanente since 2006. Previously, Gordon Tang was the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Alta Bates Hospital from December 2018 to April 2023 and worked as a Physician in Neurosurgery at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland until January 2023. As the Founder and President of East Bay Neurosurgery and Spine from August 2005 to January 2023, Gordon Tang has significantly contributed to the field. Earlier research experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute from June 1998 to April 1999.
