Sonia Vaz has a diverse work experience in various companies. Sonia began their career in 2003 as a QA engineer at Enterprise Systems, where they worked until 2005. In 2005, they joined Google as a QA Engineer and stayed there for a year. In 2006, they worked as a Sr. QA engineer at Genentech for a few months before moving to the United States Postal Service as a QA Automation Engineer. Sonia worked there until 2008 when they joined Kaiser Permanente as a Principal IT Engineer Applications. At Kaiser Permanente, they served as a product owner and team lead for MFT, responsible for driving requirements and managing the product implementation and maintenance. Overall, Sonia Vaz has experience in quality assurance and product management roles in the healthcare and technology industries.
Sonia Vaz has a strong background in computer science. Sonia obtained their BS in Computer Science from Mangalore University, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Following that, they pursued an MS in Computer Applications at NMAM Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1998.
In addition to their formal education, Sonia Vaz has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include being a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals by Microsoft in June 2022, Microservices Practitioner Essentials by IBM in April 2018, and various IBM Cloud Private certifications in March 2018.
