Viviana Parra

Viviana Parra, MPH, CIC is a dedicated Infection Preventionist currently employed at Kaiser Permanente since March 2023 and a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology since October 2017. Previous experience includes roles as an Infection Preventionist at Sharp HealthCare from February 2021 to June 2023 and at Paradise Valley Hospital from May 2014 to February 2021. In these positions, Viviana Parra has maintained compliance with regulatory standards, trained staff and patients on infection prevention protocols, and conducted active surveillance for communicable diseases. Earlier experience as a Discharge Planner involved assisting with case management and developing safe discharge plans. Viviana Parra holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dominican University of California.
