Karen Isble has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership and managerial roles in the field of college advancement and fundraising. Karen most recently worked as the Vice President for College Advancement at Kalamazoo College. Before that, they served as the Associate Vice Chancellor and Campaign Director at UC Irvine, where they planned and led the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising campaign. Prior to that, they held multiple positions at the University of Michigan, including Assistant Vice President of Development Services & Strategic Solutions and Senior Executive Director of Campaign, Development Services & Strategic Solutions. Karen also has experience in prospect development and analytics at the University of Michigan and served as a Director at Apra | Prospect Research. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Administrative Director at the Chamber Music Society of Detroit and held research and grants coordinator roles at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Goodman Theatre, respectively.

Karen Isble obtained a Master of Music (M.M.) degree from the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1993, and an A.B. degree from Harvard University from 1986 to 1990. In addition, they hold an Adult Mental Health First Aid Certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, which they obtained in June 2023.
