Laurel Palmer

Laurel Palmer serves as the Director of the Kalamazoo College Fund, leading a $2.8 million annual fund to support scholarly initiatives at Kalamazoo College since February 2009. Concurrently, Laurel has been a Technical Communication Instructor at Western Michigan University since September 2008, teaching business writing to first-year engineering and aviation students. Previous experience includes serving as Development Director at Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan, where fundraising programs were diversified and grant plans were developed. Laurel also held roles at Pretty Lake, Ascension, and Western Michigan University that focused on community engagement, membership services, and student programming support. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cedar Crest College.
