Dionna Roberts

Dionna Roberts has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Elementary School Principal at Kalamazoo Public Schools since August 2019, following a tenure as a 4th Grade ELA Teacher. Roberts has also contributed as a Guest Writer and Instructor for the artGirls Program at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts from July 2015 to July 2023, where lessons integrated creative writing and art. From June 2014 to July 2023, Roberts was the Lead Teacher for the Third Coast Writing Project's Camp For Young Writers at Western Michigan University, and served as an Adjunct Faculty member from January 2017 to April 2020, teaching language arts and literacy to undergraduate teaching candidates. Additional roles include a K-5 District Literacy Coach and various teaching positions within Kalamazoo Public Schools, alongside significant educational credentials from Western Michigan University, culminating in a Master of Education degree in Elementary and Middle School Administration.
