Alicia Risk is an experienced Interpretation Specialist at Kalamazoo Valley Museum since 2018, where collaboration with fellow staff members enhances guest engagement and exhibit interpretation. Alicia has a diverse background in public history, currently serving as a History Intern at Paper City Mill Works and as a Collections Intern at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo, focusing on organizing collections and conducting public history projects. Additionally, Alicia has worked as a Research and Instruction Librarian at Western Michigan University's Waldo Library, assisting students in research. Previous experience includes internships at the Gilmore Car Museum and Arnold S. Levine Millinery, as well as a role as a Costume Crafts Assistant at The University Theatre. Alicia holds a Master’s degree in Public History and a Bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Design and Technical Production from Western Michigan University.
