Bipul Kumar

Bipul Kumar has extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. Bipul started their career at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited as a Production Engineer, where they were responsible for planning raw materials, scheduling CNC machines, and implementing ERP systems. After that, they pursued a Ph.D. in recommender systems at the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, where they conducted research and developed novel algorithms to improve the diversity of recommended items. Most recently, Bipul worked at Kaliber.ai as a Data Scientist before being promoted to Head of Artificial Intelligence, focusing on developing AI solutions for surgical care to reduce procedural time and ensure consistency.

Bipul Kumar attended DAV public school Hehal Ranchi from 1993 to 2003. Bipul then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SRM University, graduating in 2008. Later, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Data Science from the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi from 2012 to 2016.
