As Kaliber’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Angelo brings extensive experience in arthroscopy, as well as a longstanding passion for improving surgical skills training. Dr. Angelo is a past President of the Orthopedic Learning Center in Chicago, past President of AANA, past Chair of the AANA Education Foundation, and past Chief of Surgery at Evergreen General Medical Center. He has also served as Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington Department of Orthopedics, as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Arthroscopy Journal, and as a member of Surgicon’s Senior Advisory Board.
Dr. Angelo received his M.D. from the University of Washington and his Ph.D. from University College Cork for an investigation into a proficiency-based progression curriculum for surgical skills training. He has published over 50 journal articles and book chapters and served as a co-editor for two arthroscopic shoulder textbooks.
