Nirmal Thaliyil

Nirmal Thaliyil has extensive experience in product management and marketing at Kalkitech. Nirmal started in 2004 as a Project Engineer, Commissioning and worked on integrating protocols and providing backend support for the Substation Protocol Gateway product. From 2005 to 2014, they held various roles such as Project Engineer, Product Development, Asst Manager of Product Development, and Product Manager, where they contributed to the conceptualization, design, and tracking of development for different products.

In 2015, Nirmal became the AVP of Product Management at Kalkitech, responsible for defining the product roadmap for SMART GRID M2M and IIOT products, conducting market research, and monitoring product performance metrics. From 2019 to 2023, they served as the AVP of Product Management and Marketing, where they managed the product strategy and roadmap for the kalki.io cloud and edge-based data acquisition software. Nirmal prioritized and planned stories, created user stories and wireframes, executed go-to-market plans, managed digital marketing activities, and built client relationships. During this time, they were also a member of the Bureau of Indian standard (BIS) working group for smart city specifications.

In 2023, Nirmal was promoted to the position of Director of Product Management and Marketing at Kalkitech.

Nirmal Thaliyil studied at the University of Calicut from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Electrical & Electronics.
