Brian Piekos

Brian Piekos is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Brian has held similar roles at Elicio Therapeutics, Gemini Therapeutics, and AMAG Pharmaceuticals. Prior to these positions, Brian gained leadership experience at Cubist Pharmaceuticals in various senior finance roles, including Senior Director of Corporate Finance, Tax & Treasury. Brian's early career includes a tenure at Leerink Swann as Vice President in Investment Banking, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and equity financings, as well as an Associate role at Needham & Company. Academically, Brian holds an MBA with a specialization in Accounting and Strategy from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School, a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from UMass Chan Medical School, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Ithaca College.
