Jessica Ando MA, LMFT, is a seasoned behavioral health specialist currently providing statewide services to preschool students at Kamehameha Schools since October 2020, utilizing trauma-informed crisis intervention, individual counseling, and art therapy. As the owner and artist at Jessica Ando Art since 2014, Jessica creates art aimed at awakening the soul. Previous experience includes serving as a bereavement counselor for Navian Hawaii (formerly Hospice Hawaii) from 2011 to 2020, where Jessica provided grief counseling and art therapy for bereaved families, and undertook roles as a social worker performing assessments and support for end-of-life decisions. Earlier internships involved providing art therapy for children with autism and developmental challenges, as well as participating in intensive outpatient programs for patients with severe mental illness. Jessica holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with specialized training in Clinical Art Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Arts, both from Loyola Marymount University.
