Makoto Takano

Makoto Takano is a seasoned professional in waste-to-energy (WtE) and environmental business, currently serving as General Manager for both the Design Unit and Project Management at Kanadevia Corporation since December 2016. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Project Manager overseeing Southeast Asian WtE projects, including leading the Thai RDFPP project, and Deputy Head of Business Unit India at Hitachi Zosen India Pvt. Ltd., managing WtE projects in the Indian market. Takano's career at Hitachi Zosen Corporation and its subsidiaries encompassed multiple engineering and managerial positions, culminating in the successful operation of the Osaka Higashi-yodo WtE plant. Makoto Takano holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Technology from The University of Osaka, obtained in 1997.
