We are actively seeking an Applications Team Compliance Lab Manager based in Taipei.
Key responsibilities
Provide best in class support to customer projects in Asia, to resolve challenging technical issues and ensure successful integration of Kandou’s IP and product solutions
Maintain ISO-9001 certified lab in Taiwan
Maintain lab processes per internal standards
Interface with technology vendors to manage and maintain lab equipment’s calibration and maintenance cycles
Manage OEM/ODM requests for pre-compliance testing at EVT/DVT/PVT stages and generate test reports for them
Perform compliance testing on strategic technology partners reference boards containing Kandou’s products
Perform compliance and regression testing on Kandou’s products and evaluation kits
Participate in industry events organized by standard bodes such as PCI-SIG and USB-IF
Actively monitor evolving standards and test software evolution to ensure Kandou products are certified against the latest official test cases and automation software
Maintain a close working relationship with test labs, tool providers and test equipment vendors in Taiwan
Build a close working relationship with Kandou’s labs in Europe
Host key customer debug and bring up sessions in the lab to support their transition to mass production
Skills
Ability to work closely with a variety of internal teams in Hardware and Software Engineering, Systems, Field Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Standards Bodies (USB-IF, PCI-Sig)
Strong communications skills, comfortable interfacing at all levels internally and within customers’ organizations
Track record of supporting complex customer designs from concept through to mass production
Strong team-player and practical hands-on problem solver
Ability to multitask in a high energy environment
Capable of engaging with standards bodies (like USB-IF) and driving improvements and engineering changes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner
Comfortable interfacing and dealing with the demands with some of the largest electronics, OEMs, ODMs companies on the planet in the consumer electronics market
Experience working with SerDes, USB3, USB4, PCIe, DDR or another relevant high-speed communications bus/protocol would be advantageous
Project management of multiple concurrent projects in a high-end consumer electronics test and manufacturing environment
Create and manage test plans, cases, and procedures aligned with product goals, while adjusting them based on customer requirements.
Experience
Expertise regarding USB and PCIe compliance test and associated test equipment
Interfacing directly with OEM and ODMs to project management their testing requirements at all stages of the project lifecycle
Detailed knowledge of signal and power integrity design, layout, manufacturing practices and testing
Experienced with lab and debug equipment used for interrogation of high-speed signals including oscilloscopes, BERT, VNA, current/voltage probes, AC/DC sources, electronic loads, power supplies.
Awareness of customer manufacturing techniques, end of line testing, quality assurance and acceptance testing in a high-end consumer electronics environment
Demonstrable expertise in high-speed signal circuit design, modelling, validation, and debug
Management, mentoring and leading technical teams
At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years managing technical teams
Working closely with internal engineering teams to leverage expertise, improve Kandou’s current solutions, develop IP and influence the roadmap
Provide technical expertise in both a pre- and post-sales engagements with field teams and customers for queries at all stages of the product lifecycle
Development of customer facing technical collateral to assist in supporting, demonstrating, evaluating, promoting, and selling Kandou's industry leading retimer and network connectivity products
Management and mentoring of test and/or applications engineers is not essential but would be advantageous
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CE, or equivalent work experience
