Jarmo Saarikko

Jarmo Saarikko is an Information Specialist at The National Library of Finland since November 2017, with previous expertise as a metadata and knowledge management expert prior to that. With a strong background in information services, Jarmo held the position of Senior Specialist at the Natural Resources Institute Finland from January 2015 to May 2017, focusing on knowledge management and metadata-related tasks. Jarmo served as Deputy Member of the Board at the National Library of Finland from April 2010 to October 2017 and spent over two decades in various roles at the Finnish Forest Research Institute, ultimately as Senior Advisor, Head of Information Service. Educational qualifications include a Licentiate of Philosophy in Zoology and a Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Helsinki, complemented by a degree in information management from Teknillinen korkeakoulu.
