Eva Newby

Eva Newby is an experienced professional in animal care and biological research, currently serving as an Assistant Biologist at LSA since August 2021, where responsibilities include biological construction monitoring and technical writing. Prior experience includes roles as a Wildlife Care Associate at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and a Reproductive Sciences Volunteer at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research, where Eva contributed to data analysis and fieldwork. Additional internships at San Diego Zoo Global involved caring for neonates and observing primate behavior to inform welfare decisions. Eva also gained experience as a Behavioral Intern at Sacramento SPCA and served in various assistant roles at the University of California Davis. Eva holds a degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, and studied at The University of Sydney in 2017.
