Melissa Weinsz

Melissa Weinsz, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Player Engagement for the Kansas City Chiefs since July 2024. Prior to this role, Melissa held the position of Director of Student-Athlete Development at Louisiana State University from May 2021 to June 2024, where contributions included enhancing the department's vision and mission, collaborating on educational programs for over 500 student-athletes, and delivering financial literacy and tax assistance initiatives. Experience also includes roles at the University Athletic Association Inc. and the University of Florida, with a focus on student-athlete enhancement, career development, and research in sport management. Melissa holds a Ph.D. in Sport Management from the University of Florida, along with a Master of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training.
