Jeff Porter Ph.d., Oly

Jeff Porter, Ph.D., OLY has a diverse work experience in the field of athletics and development. Jeff currently holds the position of Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at KC Current starting from January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Miami University as the Assistant Vice President of Development and Associate Athletic Director from August 2021 to January 2023.

Jeff's longest tenure was at the University of Michigan, where they held various roles. Jeff served as the Director of Student-Athlete Alumni Relations, Sports Administrator, and Major Gifts Officer from November 2017 to August 2021. In this role, they oversaw the Men's & Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, managed alumni relations program, and executed the alumni relations strategy for all Michigan Athletics teams. Jeff was also responsible for selling premium suites at Michigan Stadium and managing the Track & Field/Cross Country budget.

Before that, Jeff worked as the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of Michigan from September 2012 to November 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Academic Counselor at the University of Michigan from September 2010 to April 2012.

Jeff Porter, Ph.D., OLY, has an extensive education history. Jeff obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Eastern Michigan University, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. Prior to this, they earned their M.A. degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs from the same institution, attending from 2009 to 2011.

Before pursuing their postgraduate studies, Jeff completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. Jeff received a B.A. degree in Kinesiology, studying from 2004 to 2007. Before entering university, they graduated from Franklin High School in 2003 with a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates.

In addition to their academic degrees, Jeff has pursued further certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Jeff obtained a certificate in "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Fundraising: Inclusive Philanthropy" from Florida International University in January 2023. Furthermore, they obtained a "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate" from Miami University in June 2022.
