Mary Batson

Mary Batson, SHRM-CP, MA, currently serves as the HR Employee Engagement & Project Manager at the Kansas City Public Library since April 2017, overseeing core projects related to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and wellness programs for over 300 employees. Previous experience includes a role as an HR Generalist at Target from September 2014 to April 2017, where Mary facilitated the recruitment and training of a diverse team, managed onboarding processes, and engaged in employee community initiatives. Mary also founded and coordinated EcoRes Forum, developed software projects as an IT Project Manager for JDRF, and managed global operations and publications at Eco-Ethics International Union. Educational qualifications include a BA in Political Science from Missouri Southern State University and an MA in Intercultural Communication & European Studies from the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda, Germany.
