Jared Alvarez Sphr

Jared Alvarez, SPHR, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jared currently serves as the Human Resources Director at My Secure Advantage, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of President and Chief Human Resources Officer at City Grace Church since August 2012. In this role, they revitalized the non-profit and education centers by aligning people strategy with business objectives, overseeing talent management, acquisition, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and leadership development. Jared managed a staff of 42 and a budget of $1. At their photography business, Jared Alvarez Photography, which they owned and operated from January 2008 to August 2012, they successfully built, managed, and scaled the business while providing contract-for-hire photography services for local and international clients. Jared prioritized client expectations and quality, resulting in a high client booking rate despite a competitive market. Jared began their career at Sprint in January 1997 as a Senior Switch Technician, where they provided technical support for network performance, outage resolution, and identified improvement opportunities. Jared took ownership of streamlining and centralizing the trouble-ticket process, leading to decreased Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and increased employee engagement through learning SQL and cloud-based relational database design. Jared left Sprint in December 2010.

Jared Alvarez, SPHR, SHRM-CP has completed their education at Colorado State University Global. Jared holds an Undergraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jared has obtained certifications in the field of Human Resources. Jared holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI, which they obtained in January 2021, and the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM, which they obtained in December 2020.
