Dr. Vickie Murillo currently serves as the Superintendent for the Council Bluffs Community School District, a position held since July 2017. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Dr. Murillo has been the Chief Academic Officer for the Kansas City, MO School District since August 1995, where responsibilities included administration. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Baker University (2010-2014), a Master's in Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1995-1997), and a Bachelor's in Education from Evangel University (1980-1984).
