Kandace Buckner

Kandace Buckner has extensive experience in educational leadership and curriculum development. Currently serving as the Interim Director of Curriculum and Curriculum Manager at The Educator Academy since July 2017, Kandace also contributes as a Continuum Coach and Methods Instructor. In addition, Kandace holds the position of 5th District Representative on the Kansas City Public Schools Board since April 2021. Prior experience includes founding and directing Innovators Prep Academy from January 2015 to July 2017, along with participation in the Pathway to Leadership in Urban Schools program as a PLUS Resident. Kandace began a teaching career at Pathway Academy Charter School from August 2012 to August 2015. Kandace earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Park University in 2019 and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012.
