Rhett Caviel currently serves as a Research Compliance Officer and Senior Director of Compliance at The University of Kansas since July 2021. Additionally, Rhett is the Head Coach for Track & Field at the Foreign Language Academy and an Adult Education Instructor at Kansas City Public Schools, both roles initiated in 2023. Rhett also tutors for Grade Potential Tutoring and is an Adjunct Instructor at William Jewell College, teaching the course Identity and Society. Previous positions include Director of Compliance at California State University, Fresno, and Assistant Director of Athletic Compliance at the University of Minnesota, among others. Rhett holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
