Kansas City Symphony
Daniel Morel is a composer and arts administrator based in Kansas City, currently serving as Donor Relations Manager and previously as Philanthropy Associate for the Kansas City Symphony since October 2021. With a diverse background in music education and administration, Morel has held positions including Adjunct Instructor at Avila University, Executive Director of the Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra, Assistant Director of Musica Nova, and Festival Director for the Women Composers Festival of Hartford. Morel's compositions reflect a blend of Western influences rooted in a Colorado upbringing. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and several degrees from the University of Hartford, including a Masters of Music and an Artist Diploma. Additionally, Morel holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and Computer Science from Bucknell University.
