Lydia Allen

Lydia Allen currently serves as the Vice President of Philanthropy at the Kansas City Symphony, a position held since August 2024. Prior to this role, Lydia held multiple positions at KU Endowment from September 2018 to August 2024, including Advancement Board Director and Development Director for the School of Medicine. Lydia's career in the arts sector began at ArtsKC - Regional Arts Council, where responsibilities included Senior Manager of Corporate Engagement & Leadership Gifts and Manager of Individual and Leadership Gifts from April 2014 to September 2018. Earlier experiences include roles at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, as well as an internship at the Indiana Arts Commission. Lydia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Arts Administration - Music from Butler University, completed in 2011.
