James Stewart is a seasoned project manager and geographic information systems professional with extensive experience in managing software development and technical projects. Currently serving as the Geographic Information Systems Manager at the Kansas Department of Transportation since June 2021, James previously held significant roles at America's Job Link Alliance and NIC Inc., where project management expertise encompassed Agile and waterfall methodologies across various domains. Additionally, as Technical Manager at Spatial Data Research, Inc., James developed the New Mexico 9-1-1 GIS Distribution Process, enhancing emergency response capabilities statewide. James began a career in legal analysis at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, and holds a B.A. in Geography from The University of Kansas.
