David Brown possesses extensive experience in payroll, compliance, and human resource information systems (HRIS), currently serving as the Director of Payroll and Director of Operations - Human Capital Services at Kansas State University since March 2019. At K-State, David oversees the Resource Center and Operations, ensuring efficient payroll services and personnel transactions. Prior to this role, David spent over two decades at Payless ShoeSource, where positions included Manager Payroll, Compliance & HRIS, and various managerial and analytical roles. David's career began at Mercer Human Resource Consulting and Mellon Bank, where foundational experiences in 401(k) administration and trust accounting were developed. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
