Celeste Greenlee has held various positions throughout their career. Celeste started as an Advancement Associate at Notre Dame de Sion School in 1999 and worked there until 2005. During this time, they coordinated the annual auction and developed solicitation pieces for the Annual Fund Drive. Celeste then joined Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as a Director of Development, where they drafted and implemented a business plan for fundraising activities. In 2007, Greenlee became the Director of Capital Campaign at Notre Dame de Sion School, overseeing a $17 million capital campaign. Celeste later served as the Director of Institutional Advancement, responsible for fundraising activities and creating an annual Advancement Plan. In 2014, Greenlee joined Avila University as the Senior Director of Development, managing fundraising events and securing private support. Celeste then became the Executive Director of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri in 2016, overseeing the organization's operations and supervising staff. Currently, Greenlee holds the position of Development Director, Neurosciences at KU Endowment, starting in 2023.
Celeste Greenlee obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas, graduating in 1982. Prior to that, they attended Notre Dame de Sion High School from 1974 to 1978, but no degree or field of study is specified for this period.
In 2010, Celeste Greenlee enrolled in Avila University and pursued a Master of Arts degree in Management with a focus on Fundraising. Celeste completed their studies in 2014.
In terms of certifications, Celeste Greenlee obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential from CFRE International in September 2007, 2010, and 2013. Celeste also achieved CFRE certification again in September 2016 and in 2019.
