Kamran Karimov

Kamran Karimov currently serves as the Head of Information Security Strategy and GRC Division at Kapital Bank, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies and conducting periodic risk assessments. Prior to this, Kamran held roles such as Infosec GRC Manager, Senior Specialist in IT Risk Management at ABB, and Senior System Engineer at Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company. Kamran has a strong background in IT management, risk assessment, and security policy development, with early experience as a SQL Developer and Web Developer. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science and Cybersecurity at the University of Sunderland, Kamran also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Baku State University and various certifications related to internal audit and cybersecurity.
