Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. 

For more than a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million!

Using a variety of programs, services, and products, KDP supports and advances educators throughout the phases and levels of their teaching careers.

The Communications and Advisory Team at Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) works to enhance the society's engagement and support for educators. The Historian preserves and documents the organization’s rich legacy, while the Managing Editor oversees the New Teacher Advocate publication to provide valuable resources to new educators. The Director of Communications strategizes internal and external communication endeavors to elevate KDP’s mission, and the Advisory Consultant offers expert guidance on educational content for the Knowledge Development Advisory Council.
