Janelle Abela

Janelle Abela is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in strategy development and consultation. As the Founder and CEO of Diverse Solutions Strategy Firm since January 2019, Janelle has demonstrated a commitment to advancing knowledge in the education sector, further evidenced by roles such as Advisory Consultant on the Knowledge Development Advisory Council for Kappa Delta Pi and a Reviewer for the Journal of Research in Childhood Education. Janelle has facilitated workshops at Lakehead University since September 2015, and previously held secondary teaching positions with both the Greater Essex County District School Board and Lambton Kent District School Board. Currently pursuing a PhD in Social/Cultural/Political Contexts of Education at the University of Windsor, Janelle also holds a Master's in Indigenous Education from Lakehead University and has earned multiple degrees in education and languages, reflecting a strong foundation in educational theory and practice.
