Steini (Steingrímur) Helgason

Steingrímur Helgason has had a long and successful career in finance. Steini (Steingrímur) began their career in 2001 as an Analyst in the Research Department at Kaupthing Bank (merged with Bunadarbanki). In 2003, they moved to Landsbankinn (NBI hf) as a Senior Manager in Corporate Finance. Three years later, they joined Landsbanki Securities (formerly Teather & Greenwood) as a Director in Corporate Finance. In 2009, they became the Head of Corporate Finance - Investment Banking at Landsbankinn. In 2019, they began working as an Independent Financing, Merger & Acquisitions Advisor at Advisory. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Kaptio.

Steingrímur Helgason obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in 2007. Steini (Steingrímur) then went on to receive a B.sc in Economics from Háskóli Íslands between 1998 and 2001.
