Vidar Svansson

Vidar Svansson began their career in 2006 as a Software Developer at Teikn á lofti. In 2007, they worked as a Lead Software Developer at TM Software for major Icelandic companies such as Icelandair, where they created a user-friendly website to search for flights and holiday packages. That same year, they were also a Google Summer of Code 2007 Student at Google. In 2010, Vidar co-founded Tempo, a global SaaS company offering integrated time tracking solutions for Atlassian Jira. During their time at Tempo, they held several leadership roles and worked closely with Atlassian leadership on strategic initiatives. Most recently, in 2021, Vidar became the Chief Executive Officer of Kaptio, where they are transforming the business into a product-led growth company to become the leader in leisure travel technology for multi-day brands.

Vidar Svansson's education history includes a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oxford from 2006 to 2007, a Building a Business degree from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2006 to 2007, a BSc in Computer Science from Háskólinn á Akureyri from 2003 to 2006, and a Matriculation in Natural Science from Menntaskólinn á Akureyri from 1998 to 2002. Vidar also holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance.
