Haraldur Gísli Sigfússon

Haraldur Gísli Sigfússon is the current Head of Business Development at Kara Connect. Prior to this, they were the VP Sales and Operations at Travelade from October 2017 to March 2018. Haraldur was also the Co-Founder of TotalHost from June 2016 to December 2017. From May 2013 to August 2015, they worked as a Senior Associate - Payment Service Specialist at Saxo Bank.

Haraldur has extensive experience in working with IT and business, and has been instrumental in rebuilding cash services and automating workflows for various companies. Haraldur has also served as a stakeholder in the development of Saxo Banks platform, and has represented the Copenhagen office in all communication with the Singapore payments team.

Under their guidance, the team at Saxo Bank increased their incoming transfers STP rate from 0% to 80%. Outgoing transfers STP rate also increased from 20% to 60%. Haraldur also facilitated an API solution to be built between the cash system and CRM, which helped scale their case handling capabilities to an unprecedented rate.

Haraldur has built strong relationships with teams in India and Singapore, which has resulted in successful payment processing teams. Haraldur is known for their excellent communication skills and their ability to align procedures between different teams.

Haraldur Gísli Sigfússon has a MSc in AEF, finance and economics, from Copenhagen Business School and a BSc in business administration from Reykjavik University. Haraldur also has a degree from Verzlunarskóli Íslands.

Haraldur Gísli Sigfússon reports to Thorbjorg Helga, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Kristin Bjork - Office Manager, Frida Jonsdottir - Chief Marketing Officer, and Haraldur Gisli - Customer Success Manager.
