Asma DNP, ANP-C, MSN, RN has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Asma currently holds the position of Clinical Quality Manager at UnitedHealth Group since May 2020. Prior to this, Asma served as the Director of Patient Services at Kara Health starting from June 2020.

Asma also has extensive experience at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital where they worked as a Senior Program Manager Lead since April 2014.

In their previous role at Dignity Health from March 2014 to March 2017, Asma was responsible for creating and overseeing a chronic disease management program for high-risk patients, resulting in a reduction in overall hospital readmission rates. Asma managed a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, and social workers.

Asma served as a Nurse Practitioner in the Occupational Health Department at Methodist Hospital of Southern California from July 2013 to February 2014.

Furthermore, they worked as a Nurse Practitioner at INSPIRIS in July 2012 and at Cigna from December 2009 to May 2012. At Cigna, Asma managed the Home Base Program, providing primary care to patients unable to visit their primary care physicians. Asma also served as the Manager of the CHF Program, successfully reducing hospitalizations for CHF patients.

Prior to that, Asma worked as a Nurse Practitioner at UnitedHealth Group from July 2006 to August 2009 and at Biltmore Cardiology from June 2004 to June 2006.

Asma DNP, ANP-C, MSN, RN completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Arizona State University from 1998 to 2000. Asma then pursued their Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Adult Nurse Practitioner, at Arizona State University as well, from 2002 to 2004. Their educational journey continued as they enrolled in the Doctorate program at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 2019, focusing on Nursing Practice with a concentration in DNP.
