Christna Chap

Christina Chap has extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Christna began their career in 2009 as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Max Delbrueck Center. In 2010, they joined BioMed Central as a Senior Executive Editor, where they worked until 2013. From 2013 to 2018, Christina worked at the Public Library of Science (PLOS), first as an Associate Editor, then as a Senior Editor and Team Manager for the Medicine and Public Health division. Christna then moved on to become the Head of Editorial Development at Karger Publishers in 2019. Throughout their career, Christina has been responsible for scientific content, editorial development, and management of teams and editorial boards.

Christina Chap obtained an engineering degree in biotechnology from ENSTBB Bordeaux INP between 2002 and 2004. From 2005 to 2009, they pursued a PhD in molecular biology at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine.
