Raju Karki

Raju Karki, CPA, CGMA, MSIS has a diverse work experience in the field of consulting and accounting. Raju started their career at Tessada & Associates in 2004, where they worked as an Accountant and handled tasks such as preparing billing, reviewing job costs, and managing time sheets. In 2005, they joined Computer Science Corporation as a Lead Project Accountant, where they supervised and trained a team of billing accountants, ensured compliance with billing procedures, and maintained internal control in accordance with SOX documentation.

In 2008, Raju joined NeoSystems Corp as a Costpoint Consultant, where they focused on implementing the Core Costpoint Module and Add-ons, performing data conversion from a legacy system to Costpoint, and handling system administration tasks. Raju then moved on to RSM McGladrey in 2009, where they worked as a Consulting Supervisor. During this role, they led implementation and conversion projects for Deltek Costpoint, T&E, and Cognos, provided end-user support, developed complex enterprise reports, and acted as a liaison between the implementation team and clients' personnel.

From 2010 to 2013, Raju worked at BDO USA, LLP as a Consulting Manager. In this position, they managed implementation projects for Deltek Costpoint, GCS Premiere, T&E, and various other systems. Raju designed charts of accounts, org/division/department structures, and cost pools, while gathering user requirements.

Currently, Raju holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at KARKI Consulting Group, which they joined in 2013.

Raju Karki, CPA, CGMA, MSIS, has a strong educational background. Raju obtained a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, with a focus on Accounting, from Nepal jobs in 1997. Raju then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Strayer University between 1998 and 2001. Continuing their education, Raju attended American University - Kogod School of Business from 2006 to 2009 and obtained a Masters in Accountancy. Raju furthered their studies by earning a Masters in Information Systems from George Mason University's Volgenau School of Engineering from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their academic achievements, Raju Karki has acquired several certifications, including being a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Virginia Board of Accountancy and acquiring the Master Costpoint Certification from Deltek in 2019. Raju also holds certifications from IBM for being a Certified Designer of Cognos 8 BI Reports and a Certified Developer of Cognos 8 BI Metadata Models. Additionally, they completed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance certification.
