Willem Landman

Willem Landman is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in concentrating solar power (CSP) systems. Currently serving as the Founding Engineer for Thermal Systems at Karman Industries, Willem previously held senior engineering and leadership roles at Heliogen, sbp sonne, and Stellenergy, where innovative technology solutions were developed and several patents were secured. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. Notable achievements include modeling industrial solar water heating systems, leading disruptive technology initiatives, and contributing to successful engineering research projects both domestically and internationally.
